Alchemist's laboratory / Лабораторія алхіміка (en/ua)
Hi to all! Last week, my son and I and several dozen other children from Ukraine visited the alchemist's laboratory in the ancient castle. Activities were offered for children. These were wonderful experiments with simple ingredients. In the Middle Ages, alchemists were looking for a "philosopher's" stone. Thanks to this, researchers could turn everything into gold and silver. Some of the scientists of that time believed that the "philosopher's" stone would somehow give eternal youth and, accordingly, a long life.
Привіт усім! Минулого тижня я з моїм сином і ще кількома десятками дітей з України відвідали лабораторію алхіміка в старовинному замку. Для дітей було запропоновано заняття. Це були чудові експерименти з простими інгредієнтами.
В середньовіччі алхіміки шукали "філософський" камінь. Завдяки цьому дослідники могли б перетворювати усе в золото і срібло. Дехто з тодішніх науковців вірив, що "філософський" камінь якимось чином подарує вічну молодість і відповідно довге життя.
In the Middle Ages, alchemists used primitive means for their research activities. And in the end they got their discoveries, sometimes at the cost of someone's life. But this became a prerequisite for the great science of Chemistry. And maybe even today someone is searching for the philosopher's stone.
В середньовіччі алхіміки користувалися примітивними засобами для своєї дослідницької діяльності. І врешті вони отримували свої відкриття, іноді ціною чийогось життя. Але це стало передумовою великої науки Хімії. І можливо і сьогодні хтось веде пошуки філософського каменю.
For some reason, many people are attracted to the mysticism and mystery of things unknown to us. And also the eternal search for the "elixir of youth" and super-wealth, from which people lose their minds. The whole world will not be enough for someone, everything depends on the greed and property of this person.
And in your opinion, is the existence of a "philosopher's stone" possible, or is it just an invention of writers?
Чомусь багатьох людей притягує містика і таємниця невідомих нам речей. А ще вічні пошуки "еліксиру молодості" і надбагатства від яких люди втрачають розум. Комусь і цілого світу буде мало, все залежить від жадібності і власності цієї особи.
А як на вашу думку, чи можливе існування "філософського каменю", чи це лише вигадка письменників?
