A Quiet Moment in a Small Fruit Garden
Greetings to everyone!
I'm Nabil Hossen, and I’m back again in Hive Garden to share some of my thoughts and feelings with you all.
During this Eid vacation, I visited my maternal grandparents' village. Going there after a long time felt special in a different way. City life always feels a bit suffocating, but the moment you step into the village, it’s like the air becomes lighter. The soil, the trees, the breeze, the birdsong — everything feels so simple and close to the heart.
One morning, I went out for a walk with my younger uncle. We didn’t have a specific destination — we just wanted to explore the surroundings. That’s when we came across a small garden beside a house, with a nice patch of land full of different kinds of plants and trees.
There were several fruit trees there — lemon, cashew, and many others. The branches were filled with green fruits, and soft sunlight was filtering through the leaves. There was also a Chobeda (Black Sapote) tree. I stood under it for a while, looking up at the fruits. From a short distance, I took some photos with my phone. Then I even climbed the tree and captured a few more shots from above. My uncle picked some of the fruits for us to eat.
The whole experience was quite simple, yet it left a mark on my heart. These kinds of peaceful moments are rare in our busy lives. The garden wasn’t very big, but it carried a sense of care and calmness that was truly beautiful.
We all need moments like this in life — small slices of time where we can slow down and connect with nature. I could’ve kept the photos and memories just for myself, but I felt like sharing them here in the Hive Garden community.
Maybe someone will enjoy seeing them, maybe it will remind someone of their own village, or maybe even inspire someone to plant a tree.
Hope you liked it.
