My Entry Monomad Challenge #400 ~ Portrait of a Welder in Monochrome

This time, I'd like to share another black-and-white visual with all of you in this amazing community.

In this photography post, I'm featuring several portraits of a welder working at night. The welder is a friend of mine. I happened to be passing by his workshop and saw bright sparks in the distance.

Without thinking, I stopped. The moment was visually powerful, especially with the contrast of light against the darkness of night. I immediately took out my camera and began taking pictures from several different angles.

As you can see, the sparks from the grinding and joining process look dramatic in black and white. To capture the sparks' fireworks-like effect, I used a slow shutter speed.
