Epic scenes at Mucubají Lagoon
This isn't the first time I've been to Lake Mucubají in the state of Mérida, Venezuela. When I was a child, my sister and older brother brought me here a couple of times, and those moments undoubtedly left a lasting impression on me. I say this because getting there is not easy, considering the mountainous road with long slopes and many curves. I admired how my siblings drove with great skill, but also with great care, to get to this place.
As you can see, it is a magnificent setting, one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the opportunity to visit. In addition, it has a climate that is unusual in the rest of the country. It is undoubtedly a special place where you can appreciate landscapes worthy of a movie like The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, the kind where battles take place in large encampments.

It was a dream come true to be able to drive here on my own in my truck, which has already taken me to other very interesting places that I always dreamed of reaching by driving myself. I must say that I felt a little nervous at the beginning, when the journey started, as I remembered that it is a place where you have to be very careful to get there.
The mountain has some complicated sections, which I was able to overcome successfully by driving very cautiously, especially knowing that it is a heavy car and that it was full of passengers, as I was traveling with my wife, my mother, my two sisters, and my nephew. The Mucubají lagoon is one of Venezuela's great tourist destinations, and for me, it was very satisfying to be able to get there by car. This gave me a lot of confidence to tackle future trips within my country, which I will, of course, share with the community once I have made them.

This is how I share with you this epic and spectacular setting, which makes you want to stay and enjoy life, despite the fairly cold but bearable climate. Perhaps in other seasons the climate is even milder, but those of us who live in the tropics know that this is a privileged climate, considering the heat we normally experience in cities, which in this country are usually at sea level.

It was very rewarding to be able to remember those places, which have changed little, but which I hadn't visited for many years; perhaps 20 years since the last time one of my brothers took me there. I don't think I'll be back for a while, but this opportunity served to rekindle those beautiful memories of this landscape that is unique, epic, cinematic, and worth remembering. It was a pleasure to share, dear community. See you next time.

It's been a while since I've been to this beautiful lake. I remember the last time I was there on a tour for a concert in Mérida, and I even ended up swimming in it, something I'd never do again, of course. Cheers!

I like visiting lakes and sea and anything involves water by the way this lake look quite calm and isolated, beautiful surroundings 😍
Soy guaro, pero si hubiera podido mudarme a Mérida lo haría hecho. Cada rincón merideño tiene su magia y esta laguna fue uno de mis favoritos. Saludos y gracias por traerla a la paltaforma.
