Carabobo Culture Museum - Renewed Art

Memories of a wonderful time at work.png

I'll start this post by confessing that I'm not someone who frequents museums. While it's true that I've shared some posts about visiting a few, especially in the city of Lima, that doesn't necessarily mean I'm an art lover. However, I firmly believe that museums are places worth visiting to admire things that, at least in my case, I don't usually know about, frequent, or feel passionate about. I've always felt that I have a weakness for appreciating works of art such as paintings because, for some reason, they don't convey anything to me beyond my understanding that they are beautiful, that they have a history behind them, and that it takes talent to create them.

On this occasion, my wife and I traveled to the city of Valencia, less than an hour from Maracay, to visit the Carabobo State Museum of Culture. We were drawn to visit this museum because we saw a post on Instagram showing a room that is, let's say, virtual or technological, and which displays art in a totally different way. You can see what I mean at the end of the post.

When we arrived, we noticed a relatively simple façade, although it has its charm and is very well maintained. It is clear that this institution receives attention from government agencies, which is why it currently presents an interesting appearance. It is worth noting that this museum was remodeled and reopened in early 2020 or 2021.

The museum has different rooms, each distinguished by a color name, displaying different works of art, both national and international. I was able to see artistic expressions that were very distinct from one another. This speaks volumes about how each artist has their own touch, each artist has a totally different brilliance and contrast, and this can be easily observed in the works of art that are already there. In the photos, you can see many of them, as well as paintings and sculptures by different artists.

Below you will see what I mentioned at the beginning of the post, which is this special room that was recently inaugurated. It has large screens on which we can see famous works of art animated with artificial intelligence. It is quite curious to see how they move with logical movements that have to do with the setting of each work of art. Obviously, you can't see the movement in the photos, but the light in them can give you an idea that they are screens and not the actual works of art on the canvas. There is also a kind of screen on the floor, which visitors can walk on and appreciate the vivid colors that show the screen is of the highest quality. I understand that this room was made by the Chinese, or in agreement with the Chinese government. But the most impressive thing about this room is a kind of cube completely covered by screens or lights, on which we can see different works of art and different videos, which are made to look wonderful on that cube, which was the main attraction that made us go to this museum. It is simply spectacular and definitely made the visit worthwhile.

So, I wanted to share my experience at the Carabobo Culture Museum, a renovated place, I would even say a place with renovated art. It is definitely worth visiting. Believe me, what you see in the photos does not do justice to what it is like to visit this place. It was a pleasure to share my experience with you. See you next time.

Hello @musicandreview, good day!

It's wonderful that you and your wife decided to travel to visit this museum.

The works on display are truly beautiful, although I must admit that what I liked most was the interactive exhibit. I don't recall ever seeing one like it before.

Very original!

Have a great day!

Greetings, friend. I didn't know about this museum, and it really is incredible, from the entrance to each of the rooms where the works are displayed. They are also very well preserved, and what's impressive is that each one has its own style and allows you to experience and learn about history. I hope you enjoyed it, and I'll visit it someday.
