Think before you act

People often rush to act without thinking and this actions may lead to a negative or positive results.

The phrase "Think before you act" means that people should do well to consider the potential consequences of their actions before taking them.

By taking a moment to take a deep breath and consider the situation, people can avoid making spontaneous decisions that may have negative consequences.

Thinking before acting allows people to consider substitute solutions,assess the disadvantages and advantages of different options, and consider the future outcome of each decision.

I've remembered times I did not think before I acted and it ended in negative results.

For example, I remember having a quarrel with a close friend that I trusted because of what she did to me. She lied against me to some one else and when I found out, I approached her and asked her about it and she denied it.

I was so angry and made decisions of keeping malice with her but the situation worsened.
I didn't think before I acted so instead of helping the situation, it worsened it.

But if I had thought before I acted, I would have let go or resolved the matter with her after that day and the issue would have died down and long forgotten.
Up till now, it's hard for me to communicate with her. And this led to a negative results.

Another example is a day I and my coursemates in school had a little argument with another department, this resulted in the other departments fighting against ours and some of our mates were injured and we were hurt.

We summoned a meeting immediately and some of my course mates requested for a revenge and the class all agreed but I went back home and thought about it and I just had this conviction that the revenge may end I'm a dangerous results.

Going back to school the next day I decided to summon my course mates and shared my views with them, some accepted to stay back while some refused, they were still saying they will retaliate.
I left them to continue with their decision but I and some of my friends decided not to follow them. The next day they went to retaliate and out of anger wounded the others and were caught by the security and were suspended from the school by the vice Chancellor.
If I didn't think before I acted I and my friends would have been among those who were suspended.

Finally, taking the time to think before acting can lead to a better outcome.
