Hello friends. Today we are at the rug knitting course. We visit the rug looms where handcrafted rugs and carpets are woven.

Today, we are at the rug course opened in Kahramanmaraş Andırın district to provide vocational training to women and support women entrepreneurs. This is a very nice course opened by the public education center. They teach women how to weave rugs and enable them to acquire a nice hobby and earn income.

The course teacher is my cousin. He wove dozens of beautiful rugs on the looms here. He taught dozens of women how to weave rugs. I mentioned it in my previous post; Each rug is special. Every motif has a meaning. Every word, every knot tied has a story. Even though the patterns on the rug seem the same, the characteristics of weddings are different. Therefore, every rug is actually a work of art.

The excitement and joy of the women in the couriers today was worth seeing. They were very happy to receive the woven bag order. The number of such initiatives and courses should increase. More support should be given to women here. I think women's share in production should be increased.

I examined every color and every motif with admiration. I tried tying a few knots. But I can't say that I was very successful. A truly different experience. Although it may seem easy, it is an event that requires skill and care. Choosing colors, creating motifs and patterns is really difficult. Tie knots, comb them. It's hard to weave a rug for hours but only advance one inch.😀

But it's an enjoyable hobby once you get used to it. When weaving, you focus only on the thread and the pattern. It's a nice meditation method. You forget your troubles and worries... You just weave rugs.

I loved weaving rugs. I hope one day I'll have the chance to take a course like this and really learn. It was very enjoyable to chat with the women here, watch their looms and learn the story of their rugs. Thank you very much for reading.

Merhaba arkadaşlar. Bugün kilim örgü kursundayız. El emeği göz nuru kilim ve halıların dokundu: kilim tezgahlarını geziyoruz.

Bugün Kahramanmaraş Andırın ilçesinde kadınlara meslek eğitimi sağlamak ve kadın girişimcilere destek olmak için açılan kilim kursundayız. Halk eğitim merkezi tarafından açılan çok güzel bir kurs burası. Hem kadınlara kilim dokunmayı öğretiyorlar, hem güzel bir hobi edinmekerini hemde gelir elde etmelerini sağlıyorlar.

Kurs öğretmeni benim kuzenim. Burada tezgahlarda onlarca güzel kilim dokuması yaptı. Onlarca kadına kilim dokunmayı öğretti. Daha önce ki paylaşımım da bahsetmiştim; Her kilimi özeldir. Her motifin bir anlamı vardır. Her kelime atılan her bir düğümün bir hikâyesi vardır. Kilim deki desenler aynı gibi görünse bile düğünlerin özellikleri farklıdır. Bundan dolayı her kilim aslında bir sanat eseridir.

Bugün kuriyerdeki kadınların heyecanı ve sevinçleri görülmeye değerdi. Dokuma çanta siparişi aldıkları için çok mutlulardı. Bu tarz girişim ve kursların sayısı artmalı. Buradaki kadınlara destek daha çok verilmeli. Kadınların üretimde payı arttırılmalı bence.

Her renk, her motifi hayranlıkla inceledim. Bir kaç düğüm atmaya çalıştım. Ama çok da başarılı olduğum söylenemez. Gercekten farklı bir deneyim. Kolay gibi gelsede yetenek ve özen isteyen bir olay. Renkleri seçmek motif ve deseni oluşturmak gerçekten çok zor. Düğümleri atmak, onları taramak . Saatlerce kilim dokumak ama sadece bir santim ilerlemek zor.😀

Ama yapmaya alışınca zevkli bir hobi. Dokurken sadece ipe ve desene yoğunlaşıyorsunuz. Güzel bir meditasyon yöntemi. Dert ve tasalarınızı unutuyorsunuz.. Sadece kilim dokuyorsunuz.

Ben kilim dokumayı çok sevdim. Umarım bir gün bunun gibi bir kursa gitme ve gerçekten öğrenme şansım olur. Buradaki kadınlarla sohbet etmek, onların tezgahlarını izlemek ve kilimlerinin hikayesini öğrenmek çok keyifliydi. Okuduğunuz için çok teşekkür ederim.
