War heroes, faces of the Cuban camps.
My work as a nature photographer has allowed me to travel around different parts of Cuba, mainly in the countryside. And the truth is one of the things I most enjoy doing, nothing compares to sitting and talking with friends who live there, they are extraordinary people, very simple and noble. When the U.S. Army arrived in Cuba in 1898, they were called war heroes, a well-deserved nickname.
Very helpful, they share what they have with great pleasure and give it with love. I have been able to meet many farmers, with very difficult life stories, and it is reflected in their faces. Today I wanted to share a series of portraits that have touched my life, they are of farmers that I have known through all this time living with them, people with a big heart, but with faces that tell their story.
All the pictures are my own and taken with a Nikon D200 camera.

You captured it very well
