Walking at a slow pace through the streets./ Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, friends of Hive

If there is one word that is closely linked to the city of Havana, it is Rhythm. Personally, over time I have discovered that the technique is not to chase after images, but to slow down and let them come to you. You just have to let yourself be carried away by their rhythm. Following this line of thought, today I simply want to share some very ordinary moments, like someone walking slowly in the shade.

Si hay una palabra que está estrechamente vinculada a la ciudad de La Habana, es Ritmo. En lo personal, con el tiempo he descubierto que la técnica no es correr detrás de las imágenes, es ir más despacio y entonces ellas vienen a ti, solo hay que dejarse llevar por su ritmo. Siguiendo esta línea hoy solo pretendo compartir momentos muy ordinarios, como quien camina con paso lento y a la sombra.

I'm a bit superstitious, so sometimes it seems to me that the facades are watching me, as if they had a life of their own, even though I'm just a silhouette.

Soy un poco supersticioso, por eso a veces me parece que las fachadas me observan, es como si tuviesen vida propia, aun cuando yo solo represento una silueta.

These cars, beyond transporting people, carry decades of stories.

Estos autos, más allá de transportar personas, cargan décadas de historias.

There are symbols that, even if we don't observe them directly, always remain and can be interpreted in a thousand ways.

Hay símbolos que, aunque no les observemos directamente, siempre permanecen y con mil lecturas.

Humor coexists with tradition, as if nothing had happened.

El humor convive con lo tradicional, así como si nada.

Sometimes in this city you have to look at the ground to see the sky, as reflections are becoming increasingly rare.

A veces en esta ciudad hay que mirar al suelo para ver el cielo, los reflejos cada día escasean más.

The city's elders, with their leisurely pace, converse with the rocks; they are part of that history that we unfortunately discard.

Los ancianos de la ciudad, con su ritmo pausado, conversan con las rocas; son parte de esa historia que lamentablemente desechamos.
