To be part of it or stay on the sidelines, that is my question. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]
📚 Introduction
Sometimes I find myself on that fine line between keeping my distance or making myself visible to the protagonist of my photo. It's not for lack of confidence, but because I want to capture the story as faithfully as possible. Other times, I understand that getting closer completely changes the scene and gives it another meaning.
I’ve noticed that keeping my distance makes me more creative; it allows me to step back and embrace more ideas. However, that’s not always the case. The challenge lies in finding the right moment.
There are two elements I always try to involve in my photos: the historical theme and nature, specifically birds. It's something I'm truly passionate about; my background as a photographer is in bird photography, so it feels like coming home.
âś… Conclusion
And so, I keep learning through mistakes (and successes), drawing inspiration from those who have been in this field longer and trying to find my own voice in street photography. That’s my proposal for today; I hope you liked it, and I’ll read your comments. See you soon, friends.

Excellent post. I love ma photo of the gentleman backlit in the chair. I love those kind of photos. Many people think that to shoot street photography you have to be immersed in the action and shoot from up close. But for that you have to be very discreet. People change their attitude when they see a camera. It's better to be at a distance like a hunter. They look great
Thank you, my brother. It's true that things change a lot when someone notices they're being photographed. Although it can work on occasion, I personally prefer the other style—at a distance, always with respect, of course, and with the focus on telling a story. Hugs, bro.
Check out bruce gilden's work when you have some time. Your head will explode.
Congratulations. Today's #monomad first place is yours.
