few days ago, I published a series I titled: This Is Who We Are, This Is How We Live. I found myself thinking a lot about that approach—the idea of showing our everyday reality unfiltered, as faithfully as possible to what one encounters today on the streets of Havana. This time, I want to take a look at the elderly and those approaching that stage of life. I feel that in those faces there are stories that speak for themselves.

ace algunos días publiqué una serie que titulé: Así somos, así vivimos. Me quedé pensando mucho en ese enfoque, en la idea de mostrar nuestra realidad cotidiana sin filtros, con la mayor fidelidad posible a lo que uno encuentra hoy en las calles habaneras. Esta vez quiero hacer un recorrido centrado en la tercera edad y en quienes ya se acercan a ella. Siento que en esos rostros hay historias que hablan por sí solas.

Life sometimes gets complicated, and that’s why a portrait can say so much: a posture, a glance… small gestures that tell the whole story without needing words. That’s why I keep looking for those scenes on the street, to bring them here and share them.
La vida a veces se vuelve compleja, y por eso un retrato puede decir tanto: una postura, una mirada… pequeños gestos que lo cuentan todo sin necesidad de palabras. De ahí que siga buscando esas escenas en la calle, para traerlas y compartirlas.

Es cierto que una postura y una mirada muestra una historia, me agrada mucho que este centrado en la tercerda edad que tienen tantas historia detras de una arrugas y una espalda encorvada por el trabajo y el esfuerzo que han pasado. Me gustaron mucho espero una 3ra parte.

Aquí el tema de la tercera edad es crítico, y uno ve cada cosas en la calle, por mi parte tratar de documentar esta realidad. Gracias por su comentario mi amigo.
