Them, in the Middle of It All. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

It’s been a very intense week, with many hours spent out on the streets taking photos, taking advantage of the opportunity to cover several religious processions and the fact that the city is quite bustling.

Ha sido una semana muy intensa, de muchas horas de estar en la calle haciendo fotos, aprovechando la cobertura de varias procesiones religiosas y que la ciudad está bastante movida.

However, I already had several specific scenes in mind that I wanted to capture; one of them is children.

No obstante, ya tenía varios objetivos trazados de escenas que quería buscar; una de ellas son los niños.

In this complex world we find ourselves living in in this country, they are among those most affected; they’ve been left stranded in the midst of the current situation.

Dentro de todo este complejo mundo que nos ha tocado vivir en este país, son ellos uno de los más afectados; han quedado varados en medio de toda la situación actual.

There isn’t much to describe—it’s enough to simply look at the images, their faces, expressions, and gazes.

No hay mucho que describir, basta observar las imágenes, sus rostros, expresiones, miradas.

I have a lot to say about this, but I don’t think words are enough; I feel a deep sadness when I contemplate this reality. That’s why my photos are the best way for me to express what I feel.

Tengo mucho que decir al respecto, pero no creo que las palabras sean suficientes; siento una profunda tristeza al contemplar esta realidad. Por eso mis fotos son mi mejor forma de decir lo que siento.
