The Best Camera in My Hand. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Something funny happened to me this week: on one of my trips to Havana, where I had some errands to run, I couldn’t bring my camera with me. The D200 is pretty heavy, so I decided to give it a rest—and boy, did I regret it.

Me sucedió algo curioso esta semana: en uno de los viajes a La Habana en que necesité hacer algunas gestiones, no pude llevar la cámara conmigo. La D200 pesa bastante, así que decidí dejarla descansar, y vaya que me arrepentí.

As the saying goes, there came a point where I felt like a part of me was missing—I’m not exaggerating—and to top it all off, the photos I needed started popping up along the way.

Como dice el dicho, llegó el momento donde me parecía que faltaba una parte de mí, no exagero, y para colmo comenzaron a aparecer en el camino las fotos que necesitaba.

I had no choice but to use my phone, and honestly, it worked out great; here’s a selection of the results.

No me quedó otra que el móvil, y la verdad que bien me fue; esta es una selección de los resultados.

In the end, I’ve learned that, whether with a camera or a phone, what matters is living out this passion for photography and enjoying it. Thanks for sticking with me, and I’ll be back soon with more street stories.
