Silence and Faith. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings dear friends
These have been difficult days for going out to photograph the streets. Something that, deep down, I already sensed could happen given the circumstances in my country. But anyway, my bicycle has been my salvation, and thanks to it I have been able to continue exploring the city without too many obstacles.
There is something I have noticed these days that I wanted to reflect in my photos: despite the sadness and loneliness that sometimes permeates the streets, there is also a small ray of hope floating in the air. I don't know if it's just my perception, but it's something I feel in the atmosphere, in people's gestures, in the people themselves. And I wanted to capture a little bit of that in the images I am sharing with you.
These snapshots 📸 are my submission for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes and @brumest.

When I saw the drawing of Chaplin on the wall and the girl playing nearby, I literally ran towards them. I knew that scene wouldn't last long, so I told myself: run, lest you miss it.

Sometimes I imagine the designers of the Capitol walking through these streets after its construction, looking at it from different angles and saying, "Yes, it turned out beautiful." And the thing is, in Old Havana, wherever you walk, it always appears in the distance.

A kitten that seemed to want to be photographed... and there it stayed, motionless.

Three iconic buildings, the street almost empty—something rare in this area—and a tiny man crossing slowly. I liked that mix of grandeur and smallness, of silence and city.

Havana's solares, a crowded life within old walls.

I don't know what will happen in the coming days or months. But one thing I am sure of: I will continue to ride around the city with my camera and my bicycle, trying to show you, in my own way, the real Havana.
Hugs, my friends. Thank you, as always, for your time and for accompanying me on this journey. I hope to see you here again very soon, so we can continue telling stories.
See you soon.

Your photographs are really spectacular, the contrast of the black and white are deep, which gives that particular style and as you say, you have captured what happens in the streets, the real Havana.
It is true that this scene would not last long and you were at the right moment because the girl's face and her look are special, at the same time as Chaplin's mural.
The cat... I'm fascinated by cats and he has posed especially for you. I love the last picture, it has something very particular that I like, maybe the contrast or maybe the size of the people in relation to the background. Spectacular! Thank you very much and hug!

Keep up the good work! Thanks to you!
When I saw this photo, I let out one of our traditional "swear words", which we use to express admiration here in my country! 😂😂... But I won't transcribe it here 🤐, so I'll just say: "It's a visual poem full of compositional harmony and with perfect contrast!... I send a big round of applause for you @muhammadhalim friend!"

Hahaha, thank you so much, my friend! I'm so glad you liked the picture. The statue is on top of one of the most famous theaters here in Havana. It was made during the colonial era, and it's truly impressive. I took advantage of the fact that the moon was visible and tried to compose the image. Hahaha, hugs, my dear.

Thank you very much for your comment. The first photo is of an image taken on the roof of a large theater in Havana. I took advantage of the moonlight and used a 300mm lens. Regards.
Oh, that's great.
