Corners Where We Converge. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Hello, friends of #blackandwhite.

There are places in the city where there is a 90% chance that interesting things will happen, at least for a street photographer, and those are street corners; that intersection of avenues is magical. Why? Well, that's where people meet unexpectedly, vendors shout their best sales pitches, light and shadows always interact, people pray to their saints, and, as you can understand, what better setting for photography! That's why, in my wanderings around the city looking for attractive corners, I managed to take some photographs that I'm sharing with you below, all following the maxim of spontaneity and everyday life.

How do I do it? Most of the time, when I find a corner I like, I buy some cookies or something light to eat and look for a place to sit, and there I wait patiently for the photograph.

From time to time I interact with people, almost always when I see a very suggestive sign like this one.

It's also okay to look up at the sky.

This last photograph was the one I liked the most; I was passing by and saw the sign that said: Children's Circle, happy Cuban kids, and those elderly people sitting there looking displeased, well, that was spectacular 👌.

Hola, amigos de #blackandwhite.

Hay lugares en la ciudad donde existe un 90% de que sucedan cosas interesantes, al menos para un fotógrafo callejero, y son las esquinas de las calles; esa intersección de avenidas es mágica. ¿Porqué? Bueno, allí las personas se encuentran de imprevisto, los vendedores hacen su mejor pregón, la luz y las sombras siempre interactúan, la gente pide a sus santos y, como podrán entender, ¡qué mejor escenario para fotografiar! Por eso, en mis andanzas buscando esquinas atractivas por la ciudad, logré hacer algunas fotografías que a continuación les comparto, todas siguiendo la máxima de la espontaneidad y cotidianidad.

¿Cómo le hago? La mayoría de las veces, cuando encuentro una esquina que me guste, compro unas galletas o algo de comer ligero y busco un lugar donde sentarme, y allí con paciencia espero 🙏 la fotografía.

De vez en cuando interactúo con las personas, casi siempre cuando observo algún letrero muy sugerente como este.

También se vale mirar al cielo.

Esta última fotografía fue la que más me gustó; pasaba casualmente y al ver el cartel que decía: Círculo Infantil, cubanitos alegres, y a esos ancianos sentados con cara de disgusto, vaya, eso fue espectacular 👌.
