Chronicles of a light that arrives slowly, Part 1 / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, friends of Hive. How was your weekend?

I have prepared a series divided into two parts. Today we will start with the first part. What is it about? Let me tell you... Taking advantage of the fact that there was no electricity at my sister's house early in the morning, I went out and found a different dynamic on the street than I am used to. It is a dangerous time of day because of the darkness, but I took all the necessary precautions. That older part of the city inherited a different architecture from the Spanish Colony, but I find it fascinating. It usually casts magnificent shadows early in the morning, which gradually give way to light, which in turn timidly reveals (or, as they say, brings to light) silhouettes, bodies, lines, and hidden stories that disappear once the sun comes up. Let's start with the photos...

These snapshots 📸 are my submission for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes and @brumest.

The cop who walks alone with his thoughts, pacing the block, waiting for his shift to end so he can go home.

Light filters through the small spaces between the worn columns, creating lines that serve as a guide for those lost in alcohol who seek orientation on the ground. If it weren't for that light, there would be total darkness in that place.

Those who go to work and get up early, because God helps those who get up early.

Here is the culprit responsible for that place being urinated on early in the morning, and the custodian blaming Pepe, and look who was really responsible. It is true that light reveals everything.

There are birds that sleep in trees, most of them I would say, but this little one takes living in the city very seriously; he sleeps on the park fence.

All of this lasts very little time. Gradually, life begins to pick up speed and the daily routine becomes more complicated, giving way to the next day and that transition from shadow to light with all that it entails in lives and stories.

This is the first part of the story. I look forward to your comments 👇. Tomorrow we will continue with more... 🤗

What a master class of street photography you share with us in this post, man. Good shadow and contrasts and what a good photographic eye.

I know that the day is just beginning but it's the best I've seen so far 💪🏻👏🏻📸

The first photograph is simply spectacular; you captured the cyclist's silhouette perfectly in contrast to the shadows and architecture of the surroundings.

Thank you, my friend. I discovered a place in the oldest part of the city where there are some great shadows at that time of the morning. I have to go back with more time and take more photos. Thank you for your appreciation of my work 😊

Excelente trabajo
