Calm That Entangles and conquers you before you notice. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Hello, how are you doing?

Today Havana welcomes me back with open arms and an apparent calm. Sometimes I get the feeling that nothing moves or everything flows very slowly, especially in the early morning, but I know the city, and that calm gives me an unsettling feeling, as if it were flirting with me, provoking me, inviting me to seek something that only it can give me. That's when my adrenaline rushes through my veins and I feel like an explorer in search of some unsolved mystery. We're talking about Nuevo Vedado, a residential area where the old and the new coexist, but don't clash. How is that possible? Follow me and I'll tell you...

These snapshots 📸 are my submission for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes and @brumest.

This neighborhood revolves around 23rd Street, and from there everything else comes to life, even with its modern buildings that today bear witness to how time is unforgiving.

A few years ago, these murals were rare; in fact, they were associated with vandalism. Today, they are political slogans.

I'm not sure if this boy was playing or being serious, but to me it seemed like a Shakespearean declaration of love.

I don't use the bus often to get around the city; in fact, there are few buses to be seen, but when you do see one, it's like a gallery of tired faces, of stories in motion, all together but different.

And what can I say about classic cars? One thing is certain: they are there, imposing their memory on the streets.

In the end, I think Vedado is more than a neighborhood; it's a time capsule that leaves its mark on those who visit it and is always friendly.

So, what did you think of the tour? If you come to Havana, don't miss it. I'll sign off for now, but I'll be waiting for your comments. See you soon.

Little by little, the street wakes up to its routine, and as everything moves, you visualize and capture those scenes.

That's right, my friend, the dynamics of the street are becoming increasingly captivating.
