H ey friends, how’s everything going? Let me tell you… since I was a kid, I’ve had a strong connection with the countryside. I owe that to my father, who always taught me to care for and love nature. So whenever I get the chance, I head out to a forest. It’s like my way of resetting. Out there, I stop being “me” and just feel like part of everything around me… and honestly, that does me good.	S aludos, amigos, ¿qué tal va todo? Les cuento… desde pequeño tengo una conexión muy fuerte con el campo. Eso se lo debo a mi papá, que siempre me enseñó a cuidar y querer la naturaleza. Por eso, cada vez que puedo, me escapo para algún bosque. Es como mi manera de resetearme un poco. Allí dejo de ser “yo” y paso a sentirme parte de todo lo que me rodea… y eso, no sé, me hace bien.

So, about 18 km from my house there’s a forest I really like, and that day I grabbed my bike early in the morning and headed out. On the way, I stopped by Javier’s place, a friend of mine who’s a speleologist; we bought some snacks and kept going.	Resulta que a unos 18 km de mi casa hay un bosque que me encanta, así que ese día agarré la bicicleta bien temprano y me fui para allá. En el camino pasé por casa de Javier, un amigo espeleólogo; compramos algo de merienda y seguimos viaje.

The day was nice, a bit of sun but nothing too strong. We arrived and, you know… I didn’t even think twice—I started taking photos. The shadows from the trees, the little countryside houses, everything caught my eye.	El día estaba bastante bueno, un poco de sol, pero nada molesto. Llegamos y ya tú sabes… ni me lo pensé: empecé a hacer fotos. Las sombras de los árboles, las casitas de los campesinos, todo tenía algo.

Then I met Felo, a man who has been taking care of that forest for over 40 years. Imagine that—many of those trees were planted by him. I stayed there for a while just talking with him, because it’s really something to hear him speak about that place.	En eso me encuentro con Felo, un señor que lleva más de 40 años cuidando ese bosque. Imagínate, muchos de esos árboles los sembró él mismo. Me quedé un buen rato conversando con él, porque de verdad da gusto escucharlo hablar de ese lugar.

We spent about two hours there, just taking it easy. And to top it off, right next to the forest there’s a small pond… and, as if on cue, an aquatic bird showed up—the Little Grebe. So of course, I had to take a photo of it.	Estuvimos por allí como dos horas, tranquilos. Y para rematar, al ladito hay un pequeño estanque… y mira tú qué casualidad, apareció un ave acuática, el Zaramagullón Chico. Así que nada, también se llevó su foto.

And that’s when it hit me: sometimes we think we need to go far away to find good images, but we don’t… a lot of times it’s all right there, close to home. I really enjoyed that outing. The kind that makes you want to go back again. Maybe next time my friend @nanixxx will join 😊 That’s it for now. Thanks, as always, for being here and for the support. See you soon.	Y ahí fue cuando pensé: a veces uno cree que tiene que ir lejos para encontrar buenas imágenes, y no… muchas veces lo tienes ahí mismo, cerca. La verdad disfruté mucho la salida.
