The sesame crop preparation and harvest season
The sesame crop has been fully prepared in our area and the harvest process has begun. The green plants in the fields and the small grains on them tell the story of the hard work and patience of the farmers. Sesame is a very important oil crop from which the oil from it is used in eating, cooking and medicines. In addition, sesame seeds are also used in sweets, bakery products and traditional dishes, which double its nutritional and economic importance.
Farmers usually sow it in fertile and soft soil. The seeds are very fine, so they are carefully put into the ground. After that, regular care is taken to protect from water, fertilizers and herbs. Since the mole is capable of tolerating drought, it also produces good in hot and dry areas, but if it gets water on time during its development, the production becomes even better
This is the time when the farmers start the harvesting process. The most important step of harvesting is that the beans do not stay in the field for long, otherwise they openly drop the grain to the ground, which loses the bulk of the production. Therefore, harvesting is usually done in dry and sunny days. In the meantime, the beans automatically dropped the grains, which are later cleaned and collected.
Some farmers also use modern agricultural machinery, which saves both time and labor. Sesame oil is not only used in food but its medical benefits are numerous. It is beneficial to the health of the heart, softening the skin and strengthening the hair. Traditionally, in the winter season in our area, sesame oil is also used for massage on the body, which helps prevent cold and keep the body warm.
They contain a good amount of protein, calcium, iron and vitamin E. That is why in our area, sesame lido, flocks and gajaks are particularly liked in the winter. Bakery products such as biscuits and cakes are also used as topping, which enhances taste and nutrition. The farmers in the fields are busy, the green grains between the plants, and the scent of the mole in the air creates a separate environment.
During the harvest, the villagers cooperate with each other, and sometimes it takes the form of a kind of local event. This not only meets domestic needs, but farmers can also invest in their fields and prepare for the next crop. The increase in the production of sesame at the national level reduces the import of oil and promotes the local industry.
