Alloplectus plant flower

Hey everyone who loves taking pictures! This morning, I took a picture of the flowers of a plant called Alloplectus. This plant has two kinds of flowers: red and yellow. You can find it in the front garden of my house and my mother's garden.

This plant is native to Central and South America, and it's now found in parts of Asia, too, like Indonesia. It's a pretty flower, with red flowers and yellow flowers, so it's a real attention-grabber.

This plant has a green, round stem with a spongy, juicy texture and a hard outer shell. Its large, black, purple leaves are thick and somewhat fragile. They're easily torn or damaged, so you have to be careful around small children.

Alloplectus is a genus of Neotropical plants in the Gesneriaceae family. The 2005 revision of the genus included five species, with the majority of species in the traditionally restricted genus being moved to Crantzia, Glossoloma, and Drymonia. Plants of the World Online currently accepts seven species...Wikipedia
