This photo series was taken using a fixed 50mm lens—a tool that forces me to move, to get closer, to really see. It doesn’t have zoom, but it has something better: it connects me to the scene, puts me right where the details happen.
Esta serie de fotografías fue tomada con un lente fijo de 50mm, una herramienta que me obliga a acercarme, a moverme, a mirar más allá. No tiene zoom, pero tiene algo mejor: me conecta con la escena, me pone justo en el lugar donde suceden los detalles.
At this wedding, I decided to focus on the little gestures that often go unnoticed—a brush of hands, a ring resting in place, lace falling gently, a silent flower. All in black and white, because when you work with light, shadow, and a good lens, you don’t need much else.
En esta boda, decidí enfocarme en esos pequeños gestos que muchas veces pasan desapercibidos—el roce de unas manos, un anillo en su sitio, un encaje que cae con suavidad, una flor que guarda silencio. Todo en blanco y negro, porque cuando se trabaja con luz, sombra y una buena óptica, no hace falta más.
The 50mm gave me the intimacy. The black and white gave me the emotion. The rest... they brought with them.
El 50mm me dio la intimidad, el blanco y negro me dio la emoción. Lo demás… lo pusieron ellos.
