There’s something fascinating about a mask. It hides and reveals at the same time. In a wedding, where everyone’s dressed to impress, a mask feels like a small rebellion — a way to say “tonight, I can be whoever I want.”

Hay algo fascinante en una máscara. Esconde y muestra al mismo tiempo. En una boda, donde todos van vestidos para impresionar, una máscara se siente como una pequeña rebeldía — una forma de decir “esta noche puedo ser quien yo quiera.”

When the masks come out, the mood changes. People loosen up, the shyness fades, and laughter becomes louder. It’s like the mask gives permission to let go, to dance sin miedo al qué dirán, to live the moment as if nobody’s watching — even when everyone is.

Cuando las máscaras aparecen, el ambiente cambia. La gente se suelta, la timidez se va, y las risas suenan más fuerte. Es como si la máscara diera permiso para soltarse, para bailar without fear of what others might think, para vivir el momento como si nadie estuviera mirando — aunque todos lo estén.

Maybe that’s the trick — we spend so much time pretending to be “ourselves” that we forget how liberating it can be to play, to hide a little, to reinvent for a night that version of us that only comes out when the music is loud enough.

Tal vez ese sea el truco — pasamos tanto tiempo fingiendo ser “nosotros mismos” que se nos olvida lo liberador que puede ser jugar, esconderse un poco, reinventar por una noche esa versión de uno que solo sale cuando la música suena lo suficientemente fuerte.

Because sometimes, it’s not about who’s behind the mask… but about who we dare to become once we put it on.

Porque a veces, no se trata de quién está detrás de la máscara… sino de quién nos atrevemos a ser cuando nos la ponemos.
