The Cimarron Hill and The Copper Lagoon

A few kilometers from the Copper Sanctuary located in the town of the same name in the province of Santiago de Cuba is La Loma del Cimarrón, a place full of history where a monument was erected in memory of the revolt of the Copper slaves of the seventeenth century, It was sculpted in iron and bronze by Alberto Lescay and from its height you can appreciate a beautiful lagoon with its turquoise blue colors. It should be noted that it is not advisable to make a prolonged use of its waters due to a high level of chemical properties that it possesses.
