Un saludo cordial a todos mis amigos de #hive en especial a los papis y mamis que hacen vida en esta comunidad. Hoy compartiré con ustedes parte de lo que fue una tarde musical y un poco agitada que viví junto a mis pequeños músicos.
A warm greeting to all my #hive friends, especially to the daddies and mommies who make life in this community. Today I will share with you part of what was a musical and a little hectic afternoon that I lived with my little musicians.

El pasado día viernes 24 del presente mes me tocó acompañar a mis hijos en dos actividades musicales en las distintas academias donde hacen vida. Primeramente, Mariana participó en “Tarde de Romance" un recital a cargo de la escuela de piano del Sistema de Coros y Orquestas núcleo Cumaná que se llevó a cabo en la sede de la Escuela de Música José María Gómez Cardiel, con la intención de celebrar el mes del amor y la amistad y recaudar fondos para la recuperación y adecuación de los espacios de dicha institución. La actividad contó con la participación de alumnos de todos los niveles de la escuela de piano, integrantes del coro sinfónico y de la orquesta sinfónica juvenil de Cumaná.
Last Friday, the 24th of this month, I had the opportunity to accompany my children in two musical activities in the different academies where they live. First, Mariana participated in "Tarde de Romance", a recital by the piano school of the Sistema de Coros y Orquestas Cumaná, which was held at the headquarters of the Escuela de Música José María Gómez Cardiel, with the intention of celebrating the month of love and friendship and raise funds for the recovery and adaptation of the spaces of the institution. The activity was attended by students of all levels of the piano school, members of the symphonic choir and the youth symphony orchestra of Cumaná.
Mi hija tuvo la oportunidad de acompañar a uno de los niños del coro sinfónico, quien interpretó la canción Cien Años, bolero popularizado por Pedro Infante y compuesto por el mexicano Rubén Fuentes. Realmente me emocioné mucho al ver el avance que ha tenido mi pequeña, porque créanme que no es nada fácil acompañar a alguien mientras canta.
My daughter had the opportunity to accompany one of the children of the symphonic choir, who performed the song Cien Años, a bolero popularized by Pedro Infante and composed by the Mexican Rubén Fuentes. I was really excited to see the progress my little girl has made, because believe me it is not easy to accompany someone while singing.

Cuando hablo de que la tarde fue agitada lo digo porque para ambas presentaciones pidieron colaborar con pasapalos dulces o salados, yo decidí llevar suspiros y polvorosas que era lo que podía preparar con los ingredientes que tenía en casa, pero a causa de un resfriado que me dió no me sentía bien y dejé todo para última hora, así que me tocó hornear en tiempo récord para poder llegar a tiempo.
When I say that the afternoon was hectic I say it because for both presentations they asked to collaborate with sweet or savory snacks, I decided to bring sighs and polvorosas which was what I could prepare with the ingredients I had at home, but because of a cold I was not feeling well and I left everything to the last minute, so I had to bake in record time to be on time.

Lamentablemente no nos pudimos quedar hasta el final del concierto porque debíamos acudir al otro evento. Como no disponemos de vehículo propio tuvimos que dirigirnos rápidamente a la parada de buses, luego de algunos minutos esperando sin que pasara el transporte público un amable señor se ofreció a llevarnos, dudamos un poco ante aquel ofrecimiento, pero como se hacía tarde accedimos y gracias a esa buena acción llegamos a tiempo al segundo evento, el cual tuvo lugar en la sede de la academia de música Germán Segura, lugar donde desde hace aproximadamente dos meses mis hijos reciben clases de canto.
Al llegar allí tuve que ir rápidamente al baño con mi hija para ayudarla a cambiarse de ropa, pues este concierto era con motivo de la celebración del carnaval y todos los niños debían ir personificados como el artista que interpreta la canción que escogieron. En el caso de mis hijos Olga Tañón y Chayanne.
Unfortunately we could not stay until the end of the concert because we had to go to another event. As we do not have our own vehicle we had to go quickly to the bus stop, after a few minutes waiting without public transport a kind man offered to take us, we hesitated a little before that offer, but as it was getting late we agreed and thanks to that good deed we arrived on time to the second event, which took place at the headquarters of the music academy Germán Segura, where for about two months my children have been receiving singing lessons.
When I got there I had to quickly go to the bathroom with my daughter to help her change clothes, because this concert was in celebration of carnival and all the children had to be dressed as the artist performing the song they chose. In the case of my children Olga Tañon and Chayanne.
Mariana interpretó Vivo la Vida Bailando y José Guillermo Madre Tierra, debo confesarles que me sentí muy emocionada con ambas presentaciones, a Mariana desde pequeña le gusta cantar, más sin embargo no es muy buena bailando y para la ocasión debía poner en práctica las dos disciplinas, para ser su primera vez cantado solita en un escenario lo hizo genial, tal vez piensen que solo sea mi opinión de madre orgullosa, pero realmente así lo percibí. José por su parte enamoró al público con su voz angelical, dió pequeños pasos en escena, más no realizó el bailé que se le había enseñado, a pesar de eso me sentí complacida con su desempeño, pues se que estar frente a un público no es fácil y él antes de ingresar a esta academia y a las clases de clarinete era muy tímido, razón por la que disfruto y celebro cada avance en su desarrollo por pequeño que sea.
Mariana performed Vivo la Vida Bailando and José Guillermo Madre Tierra, I must confess that I felt very excited with both presentations, Mariana since she was little likes to sing, however she is not very good at dancing and for the occasion she had to put into practice both disciplines, for her first time singing alone on stage she did great, maybe you think it's just my opinion as a proud mother, but I really felt that way. Jose on his part charmed the audience with his angelic voice, he took small steps on stage, but did not perform the dance he had been taught, despite that I was pleased with his performance, because I know that being in front of an audience is not easy and before entering this academy and clarinet classes he was very shy, which is why I enjoy and celebrate every advance in his development no matter how small it may be.
Finalizado el concierto de Carnaval aproveché para tomarles algunas fotos junto a sus compañeros para que tuvieran un recuerdo de esa ocasión tan genial, también llegó el momento que más disfrutan los niños, lo que aquí en Venezuela llamamos “el compartir” donde los asistentes disfrutan de los aperitivos y bebidas que los representantes hayan llevado.
At the end of the Carnival concert I took the opportunity to take some pictures of them with their classmates so they could have a souvenir of such a great occasion, also came the moment that children enjoy the most, what here in Venezuela we call "the sharing" where attendees enjoy the snacks and drinks that the representatives have brought with them.
Tanto su padre como yo nos sentimos muy orgullosos de ellos y se los hicimos saber en varias oportunidades, los felicitamos y les hablamos de los aspectos que deben seguir trabajando para mejorar su desempeño en un escenario, el camino de la música es maravilloso, abre un mundo de posibilidades que pueden generar grandes satisfacciones a nivel personal y profesional, se que ellos aún están pequeños, pero desde ahora les vamos enseñando que la disciplina, la constancia y la determinación son fundamentales para lograr cualquiera de sus propósitos.
Both their father and I feel very proud of them and we let them know on several occasions, we congratulate them and talk to them about the aspects they should continue to work on to improve their performance on stage, the path of music is wonderful, it opens a world of possibilities that can generate great personal and professional satisfaction, I know they are still young, but from now on we are teaching them that discipline, perseverance and determination are essential to achieve any of their goals.

Sometimes I really wish I had begun my musical journey from my childhood, I know that I'd have been better than I am now.
It's wonderful to see how you and your lovely hubby are supportive towards your children in their musical journey. Truly, music has a way of broadening the minds of children and giving them a unique perspective of looking at life. Yea, music is life!
I must confess your daughter's presentation with the keyboard is impressive, the chords she struck and the arpeggaited notes are timely and outstanding 👏 I'm sure the other children's singing presentations were wonderful as well.

What a lovely experience you've shared with us.
We share the same sentiment, because I started choral singing at 18 and would have loved to have done it in childhood.
There are many satisfactions that can be experienced in the path of music and our mission as parents is to guide them to make the most of them.
