This is my entry for today's Monomad Challenge. I went for a walk in the park.

Today I decided to go to the park for a walk and to sweat a little, and when I say sweat, I mean it. I went around noon and the heat was unbearable. The reason? I bought some accessories on Aliexpress and wanted to try them out, such as a lens hood for my 24mm lens. I know, it took me too long to buy it, but I finally did.

And despite being an ultra-cheap accessory, the truth is that it works quite well. although I have my doubts about the weight. It's a very solid accessory and looks like metal, which makes it a bit heavy, and I feel like the 24mm lens focuses slower than it should. I'll pay more attention to this issue in the coming days and let you know. For now, let's look at some of today's photos. Some are good, others I didn't like because the heat bothered me too much.

Let's start with one of the photos I liked the most. In fact, it was the second one I took today, while I was waiting to see what would happen with some squirrels that were fighting in the shade and moving too fast, which is why I didn't even try to take a picture. This fisherman walked by, so I couldn't waste the opportunity to take the photo, and as I said, I really liked the result.

And the first photograph, a disaster that I shouldn't even share, but I'm doing so because I want you to see the brightness and contrast in the image.

While walking and observing plants in search of insects to photograph, I came across this curious seed capsule from a plant called Toloache. If I remember correctly, it was supposedly used to win someone's love. But what's most interesting is that it's also believed to help with hemorrhoid problems. You boil it and have the person with the problem sit over the water, repeating the process until the pain and problems disappear.

The next two photographs are not as interesting. One is of a sunflower and the other is of a flower that I don't know the name of. Because of their yellow colors and the sun and light, it was quite difficult to get a good shot.

But we came across a flower that, if I remember correctly, is called a zinnia. It was purple with shades of pink and white. This one was easy to photograph, and I really liked the contrast. I'll even wait to come back and collect seeds to plant at home. The flower is very striking.

The ducks, damned ducks, had to be white. In the first photograph, I lost focus a little, but in the second photograph, the focus improved. The only bad thing was that I was waiting for the two of them to be in a better position, which was impossible to achieve, so I decided to continue on my way.

I have always loved tree-lined paths like the one shown in the picture. They make me dream of secret passageways that might transport me to another world or another era. I always feel something mystical in places like this.

And finally, I came across a prickly pear cactus that had this fruit growing on it. It's called a tuna, and they're usually edible. The seeds are used for planting and continuing to reproduce the cactus. That's all for today. In the next post, I'll show you more photos that I think are really good, but I hope to be able to put most of them in the next post. See you soon.
