My entry to today's Monomad Challenge: Continuous lighting for the next photographs.
Some time ago I stopped doing many things because of work, time issues, or health, as you remember some time ago I told you that I had a bad blood pressure so my doctor recommended me a lot of exercise, and that's why I left many things aside, and one of them was to do indoor photography with the speedlite and the softbox, and since a friend needed the gear I sold him the speedlite and the triggers, although I kept the softbox in case he needed it also he already had one.
Now I can say that I'm doing much better, and with the fact that it's raining every day and I can't go for a walk and do photography, my best option is to start taking pictures indoors with a stock photography style, although to be honest this return was more difficult than I thought, I ran out of ideas quickly and also as I'm taking pictures with continuous light I'm encountering some problems that I'll solve gradually.
But let's start with the photo I liked the most, and it was taken yesterday, actually I was so mentally blocked that I didn't know what to do, I remembered that I hadn't taken this kind of photos with the kit lens of my camera so I took it as a photographic training exercise.

One night before I had visitors in the house and not feeling like cooking we decided to order pizza, here we see some hot sauce because as a good Mexican you cannot miss the sauce.
I started by taking pictures of a small camera that I have in storage and sometimes I place on my keys, small, cute and flashy, I definitely think it has the whole Canon look to it.
I also quit smoking a long time ago but I actually felt like going out and buying cigars to include in the shot.
I continued with the padlocks and the set of keys, the truth is that I feel a good contrast and detail despite being the kit lens, although due to the type of lens the perspective can be affected.
I decided to get as close as possible to take pictures of my camera lens cap, and this was the result.
And I finished the session with the cover image of the post, these pictures were made with common lamps and as a diffuser I used tracing paper, the result is good and there is a good amount of light, enough even to make some pictures in F/6.3.

I was still not satisfied and decided to get more intense lights to be able to use the softbox, however I am realizing that due to the same size of the softbox the light is further away from my subject, forcing me to change lens and use other settings: 1/200. F/3.5 50mm ISO 160, I did different tests and in all of them I observed several details regarding the quality of the light and its temperature.
But as an example I leave you a photo taken with the smartphone where we can see what I am telling you, the more I underexpose the image somehow, those lines come out in the image. I was doing some tests because I don't remember it happening to me before with the flash, except when I used an unsynchronized speed.
I continued doing some tests as I tell you and I got these results: by the end of today's tests and writing this post, the problem was solved by changing one of the diffusers of the softbox, it comes with two diffusers so I changed the one I had and oddly enough that solved the problem, see you in the next video.
