Garden news part two.

Today I want to continue showing some of the beauties and surprises that I have in the garden as for example these beautiful specimens of Astrophyutum asterias super kabuto, they are cactus that I sowed last December and I believe that they are growing more than perfect.

Another thing that I also find interesting is that I didn't realize that my Ariocarpus already has seeds ready to be harvested, this cactus gave flower in November and here I leave you the post in case you want to revive the beauty of its flower.

As you can see of the two flowers only one gave seeds, I have to check to see which plant gave the pollen, so I will have to go to my friend Fernando's garden.

As you know I think I am obsessed with Astrophytum that is why I have many seedlings of them, and some very interesting as the following mix of Thai cultivars, these are other seedlings different from yesterday, I made many of them as a precaution in case any of them died.

The peyote found in its roots also continues to grow, hopefully this year it will give flowers, although it is almost impossible due to its age, but well, I think it is worth dreaming.

Another of my obsessions and I think one of my great successes, is the seedbed of obregonia denegrii, if I remember correctly I bought a few seeds and the seller gave me many more for being a frequent customer, so I find myself happy for life enjoying all these little beauties, may be more than 100.

One of the things I didn't like today was to find a mealybug in the Ferocactus Latispinus seedbed, luckily it was only one and I don't think there are any more, still on the weekend I will make time to spray the whole garden, I'm not going to let these bastards feed on my cacti.

Returning to the astrophyutum, I want to show these Astrophytum myriostigma coahuilense, they are few but they are growing perfect.

The Astrophyutum asterias kabuto is still growing and now I see it is going to give two flowers at the same time, it will look great!

Something I didn't show you yesterday were my special Astrophytum, when I bought the seeds I was told they were variegated and prolific, instead I got 3 chlorotics that if not for the grafting would already be dead, that's the only bad thing about cacti like this, luckily I saw them in time and grafted them, I have three although today I only found two, the third one I forgot where I put it, I try to put everything separated in case an accident or some plague happens so that they don't die all at the same time.

I have this other Astrophytum graft, I thought that this year it would give flowers because of its size, however it only looks like it is still growing, but well I think I have a lot of patience to wait.

Some Myriostigma that I sowed in August last year are already a good size to go on sale, so they will soon leave my home in search of their happiness.

I also have many myrtillocactus geometrizans better known as garambullos, I sowed many seeds with the idea that when the time came to graft I would have many rootstock, well my wish was fulfilled, they are not too many but they are enough to keep working in the garden.

Now let's talk seriously, a couple of months ago my friend Fernando went on vacation to a place called Oaxaca, it is a very interesting place with many cacti of all kinds, there he saw some mammillarias that he liked and seeing that there were many he decided to take a couple of seeds which he gave me to germinate, this is the result of what I just mentioned, as a cactus lover I feel a little confused for several reasons but I decided to sow them because he told me that there were many mammillarias which makes me think that they are not in danger of extinction and also if I did not sow them it was sure that those seeds would not be born, as you can see my part in the effort to conserve the species by germinating the seeds is a good job, I have a good germination rate above 80%, what I do not know is if morally I did well in germinating them or not, although obviously I think it was better to make them be born than to let them die, what would you have done?
