Nomadic farming is economical yet these may be a disadvantage

Hello Hive

Cattles are one of the major assets of local farmers, they can be considered to be a farmer Bitcoin.
A single cattle can be sold for half a million.
And sometimes if one is lucky enough and the capital input of raising these cattle in terms of food and other, you can make good money from these types of farming.

Around this time of the year, it is a very common norm to find all these cattle rearers in the town far away from their villages in search of pastures for their cows.

This makes us to speed up the harvest of our crops from the farms because when they come grazing around they eat up everything in the farms.

During these times, it is difficult to find pastures in the villages as the rains are gone and most grasses dried up.
Buying cow foods is very expensive.
You may not have enough money to buy the corn or millet needed for their meals, think about how much food a single cattle will feed on not to talk about feeding a herd.

In order to make much profit from cattle rearing, we have to be able to minimize the capital input of raising these cattles and food is the majority of the spending is in terms of their food intake.
Medicines and water only take a little Percentage of the money.

The disadvantages that comes with nomadic farming is in terms of security of these cattle's and their owners, moving from one place to another in the forest can be very risky for anyone, you come in contact with wild beast and even kidnappers in insecure countries like ours.

Farmers and cattle rearers have formed enmity with each other, since cattle's damage crop on the route to get pastures, often times we have farmers and cattle rearers clash over this issue.
There has always be multiple fight and loss of lives in our villages and different localities.

These are some of the challenges with raising cattle's in Nigeria, and though beef is one of the major consumed meat in the country, the number of people raising cattle's are decreasing by the day...

Right in the middle of the town we have these nomadic farmer come in and you can see how they are walking about our streets in search of pastures.

Exactly fa... They destroyed portions of our farms.
I had to stop growing cassava because of them.

Herdsmen now move with cutlasses and guns, that will save them from wild animals but I hate it when they attack innocent villages and destroy their farms while grazing.

To solve the issue of cattle grazing on crops, it is better to have the farm land fenced that way the cattle are prevented from feasting on the crops, though it will come at a cost to have wire fences erected around farm lands.

Well we often do so for smaller important crops but on larger farms in acres this may not be possible.
We only work round the clock, plant early and harvest early targeting they time they come out for grazing
