Dealing with Jealousy amongst ourselves. Had to make a twin dress to resolves the children's fight

Blessed Morning fellow sew mates.
It is a brand new week and I hope that we are up and doing with enough vibes to see us through the day.
If you have woke up on the wrong side of the bed feeling down already, just hope in here, feed your eyes with some beautiful creations, have a positive mindset and your day will go just fine.

Today I brought us this important topic to deliberate on.

Is there a difference between when you admire something or covet what a fellow human has?
Sometimes we admire something so much that the owners feels oblige to give it to us to avoid some awkwardness from the excessive comment.

When does admiration or covetousness result to Jealousy.
Jealousy in the verb form of when we desire to possess what someone else owns?
One may admire something a whole lot and eventually this will look like some sort of jealousy.

So how can we recognize these boundaries and know when others do not feel comfortable about our comments regarding what they own?.

Personally if I love something you are wearing, aside all the admiration and lovely compliments, I will dare to ask if you can get a copy of it for me.

I wouldn't want to take it from you if there is no duplicate elsewhere.
A feeling of contentment watching you look good is enough for me and if there is no means for me to have the same, I let it slide.

This is not the case with children.
Sometimes we make it a point of duty to buy the same clothes, shoes and others for the girls to avoid trouble in the house 🤓🤓 😂😃.

My sister is sometimes envious when I make a new dress for my niece, both of them are teenagers and wear the same size of outfit.
While my niece took this further and kept insisting that I must replicate the same style of dress for her just like I made one for her baby sister.

I had very little of the fabric left with no tulle. Her dress is almost like a patch work.

I kept joining several tiny pieces until we got what.
The African print wasn't enough to add to the base of the dress and I had to add the plain material.
She is just a child and will have to wear the dress like this since it is at the back bodice.

Have you seen twins rocking the same color and pattern all around the streets? What should we call that?
Most times my African parents taught them how to wear same outfits while growing up since some kind of envy exist amongst such siblings.
Their parents have no choice other than to buy similar outfits for them often.

I believe that the children will outgrow this habit, but have you done so as an adult? 😆😄😂😃😅.
How do you approach your friends for something you desire to posses of theirs?

I just hope I haven't missed the points or spoken gibberish 😂, just to avoid some form of bypass.

And just like that, this blog is completed. Thank you for stopping by.

Haha, I know that feeling, I have two daughters and can't make a dress for one and leave the other if I don't want wahala😂😂 it's better I make both or none.

The patch work you did has turn to a beautiful style, wait and you will see someone asking for that same style.😂😂 There is truly no error in fashion.

Haha, a new style indeed.
Am sure the girls are happy to have a seamstress for as a mother, this means new dresses every now and then...

Hahaha this made me laugh Monica :) It reminded me and my sister that when we were little we had to have the same or similar clothes to avoid fights. Nowadays we still dress in a very similar style so obviously that influenced our sense of fashion :p

These dresses were both beautiful, they are not exactly the same but it shows that they are to match. Congratulations on fulfilling the girls wish ❤️!

Every mistake or patch in fashion is actually a design, this dress came out nicely.

Well done.
