Walking on a Muddy Path on a Gloomy but Wonderful Day

Hello, wonderful people of the wonderful HIVE world! Greetings! May you have a nice day ahead. The rain is back for many days here in our place. Maybe there is a Low-Pressure Area in the country again. We are used to having this kind of weather anyway. But sadly, this kind of weather hinders us from doing a lot of things, especially outside activities. Allow me to share my Saturday Experience going to the area for our Saturday Church Ministry.

Not a Good Weather

Early morning Saturday, Janneah and Jewel were so excited for the day. It was the schedule of our third Monthly Children's Feeding to be done at their friend's house, Seriah. But the day was gloomy, and the sky was about to pour its water at any time. Janneah told me that it was not good because she saw the dark clouds. Nevertheless, rain or shine, the Children's Feeding must go on.

The feeding area is at Libjo, Tabogon, Cebu a mountainous one. We have to go through a rice field on a mountain and at the top of it is the house of one of our Churchmates. And since it was raining for several days, usually every afternoon till night, we expect our way there to be muddy and a bit struggling.

We arrived at the foot of the mountain at 10:30 am but we have to walk for more or less one and a half kilometers to the house where we are to feed the children. Looking above we can see the struggles we are going to get through on the muddy way up. Going up and the struggles began. Janneah was with her daddy, and I got Jewel with me. The soil was so sticky and slippery plus the steepness of the mountain made it more difficult for us. Good thing we just wore our slippers that day.

On a Muddy Path

At last, we climbed to the top part. At this time, I was the first to walk and find a better path. But look at the picture, I found it hard to choose which way should we go, hahaha. I tried to look back to ask my husband for help, but he was also busy taking pictures 🤣.

I should have taken a close picture of that carabao at our back but it's too late to realize.

While taking pictures, I was holding also seven loaves of sliced bread and Jewel at the same time. Thankful to one of our young people, Kuya Roy, who came to help us bring the things.

Now I can take pictures easily while going to the area.

I thought Janneah will be out of the mood because of the muddy place but opposite to what we expected, she enjoyed it so much. The four of us just kept on laughing and were amazed by our beautiful surroundings.

The Nice View

I took a picture of our "Family feet". It was so fulfilling to see our feet get dirty in doing God's ministry.

The joy of seeing my daughter walk with us and being involved in the ministry at her young age. I am always praying for my kids to grow up doing God's work and helping in the Church.

Cultivated cornfield and beautiful surroundings on a wonderful gloomy day.

Almost There

Few minutes of walking and we can see the houses from afar. Janneah and Jewel didn't even feel tired in our journey. Maybe because they were more excited than any other kids there. It was their first time going to that place.

Getting nearer with each step we take. Janneah was very noisy this time because she can hear the children's voices. And I am so proud of Jewel because she survived walking a long difficult way without getting her blood sugar low.

Mission completed. We arrived at Seriah's house despite the slippery, and muddy path we took. And it was a joyful walk.

That is all for this blog. Thank you for the time spent reading. Hope you enjoy it. Until next time. With love mommyjane 😘.

Kalooy sa mga baby kanding. Heheh. What a walk. Hard but fun and satisfying. Walking with God is never an easy path but God is always with us every step of the way. Guiding our steps.
