One-Day Stay in Sunset Beach Resort (A Heart-Longed Wish Came True)

To have a one-day family vacation on a beach resort was our long-time dream. It always ends up as a dream since we are out of budget for that. But we never stop dreaming about it..haha we are just ordinary people with ordinary dreams. But thankfully God allows this simple heart longing of ours to come true. And this is what I'm going to share on this blog.

Hello, amazing people of the Hive world. This past December was very challenging (both of my kids got sick), busy (preparing for the Church Anniversary), tiring (because of the sleepless nights taking care of my kids), and the most expensive month (lots of contributions and activities both in school and in our Church) for us. Not to mention this last week of December made my heart break because of an unexpected sad happening.

Because of these things, I have mentioned above, I wished for a break, a time to unwind and feel free from all the negativities I had just faced. Truly God sees everything, especially our heart's desire. A couple who rarely visited the Church offers us a one-day stay at one of the resorts North of Cebu at their expense. What a blessing and heartwarming it is to be offered such a thing.

Welcome to Sunset Beach Resort, a place where you can relax and be free from the chaos of life. It is not the five-star or luxurious resort we often see on Facebook and Ads but it is the very right place for those who want a peaceful, relaxing moment.

Since we seldom visit a place like this, I was so really amazed and felt peace the time we entered the resort. The ground was so cool because almost all spaces on it are covered with Bermuda grass and there are lots of trees. You don't have to cover yourself under an umbrella if you want to stay outside your room and watch the sunset.

Their couple's room cost 1,500Php (27.19USD) which we were supposedly occupying but luckily the caretaker offered us a bigger room good for five which cost 2,500Php (45.30USD) because she already cleaned it for reservation but it was canceled. It was a great favor because they (the couple who paid it for us) paid it for 1,500 only. It is an air-conditioned room with an air purifier and a little fridge, an electric kettle, and all things needed (towel, soap, coffee, and others).

They have nice swings where the kids spent their time early in the morning while waiting for breakfast. Jewel and Janneah were so in love with that hammock above.

Also, a very clean and nice kitchen has they where we can use all the utensils. So you can cook whatever you want, the marketplace is just a ride away and you don't have to worry about all the things needed.

And when breakfast was ready there is this cool and nice area where we can eat our meals. They have chairs and tables that you can use for free also. Much more an area to spend time here with coffee.

After an hour, the kids could not wait for more to go to the sea. Luckily it was low tide during that time, so, it was kids' sea time. Their father had to go also to watch over them. They liked it so much that they don't want to stop playing in the sea.

We had our checkout at 3 pm. To count, it was 27 hours of staying there..haha.

I was so very satisfied with our one-day vacation at this beautiful resort. A day when I didn't have to think about the laundry, dirty dishes, cleaning the house, and overthink again the problems I had.

No matter how busy we are, let us spare some time to ourselves together with our loved ones.
