A Short Story of a Monitor Lizard: Photography

Hope you are well wherever you are. Today I saw the sun and the sunlight was very bright.

I looked at the canal next to my house and saw a monitor lizard moving towards a tree trunk. As soon as I focused my camera, it moved towards a tree trunk and grabbed it with its hands. I don't understand whether its two front legs are hands or feet. Because its two front legs act like hands. I have seen it lying on this tree twice before. Its nest may be near this tree trunk. So I was not very surprised about it. But when it used its hands to climb onto the tree trunk, I was surprised and thought that its hands can work so beautifully. The monitor lizard climbed onto the tree trunk at one point but did not rest. It went towards the other end of the tree trunk. I am gradually observing this incident and taking photos. At one point it came down from the tree trunk. Maybe this lizard saw me and decided that it would not spend time lying on the tree trunk because I could be a danger to it. I was a little shocked to see its escape because I wanted to take more photos but that was not possible. Finally I went back home and I am still sitting there waiting for it to see me but I did not.
