Inkcap Fungies.....!

It is my second time participating in this community and contest by @ewkaw in those days it was still cold that's why I wasn't able to find a lot of mushrooms therefore I had only a few shots then but now spring is almost here and as temperature and moisture rise in atmosphere it is very easy to find new things growing.

Throughout the week I put some struggle to discover new things a few days ago I found a couple of mushrooms growing beside the yard among weeds but these were not enough to participate here and then luckily yesterday I discoverd two more sites a few distance away from the home filled with a lot of mushrooms popping out.

Single Hare's foot inkcap I found

This time I did some effort to gain knowledge as well about these species that where do they grow and also their names they are edible or not it was a lot of fun that these things growing right in my area have a fantastic names too. The first with a very delicate umbrella are called Hare's foot inkcaps and those who are growing in triplets are called snowy inkcaps interesting names both have same suffix (inkcaps) if you have some basic knowledge of biology classification it might be their family name inkcap. Just like we have a family name ancestry.

Why are they called ink caps

This time I have searched more about these mushrooms rather than simple posting photo gallery.
The internet is saying that these musrooms'caps were once used as an ink source which astonished me but it is true when the funji is just about to die it releases a dark thick black liquid from it's cap which can be used as an ink.

Source from Britannica

I would must like to give it a try next time when I found them as now there will be new mushrooms to discover cuz summer is just about to begin here. And in past I still remember I have seen many huge and edible fungus growing beside the canal near my residence I am very excited when they will grow.

My gallery

I've captured a lot of shots of this unique stuff now let me explain each shot's backstory.

Snowy inkcaps groung in a tiny cluster what a genius who suggested this name even if it was normal weather the cap seems to have snow on them

Hare's foot single growing on manure as it is its habitat to grow on woods or dung.

A miniature inkcap so small but still caught my attention while exploration I'm thinking how hard it could be to get a drop og ink. It kight took hundreds of Fungus.

Below is my favourite picture 🖼️ I capture during all this a line of snowy inkcap emerging out of dung it was yesterday's morning.

They are so wild but still delicate even touching it's cape wil make your hands black.

Some more Fungus playing hide and seek aroun their habitat with me as I had to find them be to grope them among weeds and dung.

I hope you might like my little struggle af finding these tiny life as well as the knowledge about them see you next week. Don't forget to tell me which one did you like the most.

I am very glad that I found a lot of mushrooms right and day before Friday but most interesting part is that how much useful they were as they have been used as ink in old times.
