Through My Lens: Unveiling the Untouched Beauty of Kashmir’s High Reaches
A few years ago, we set out on a trek to the higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley. The terrain there is incredibly challenging—rugged and difficult to pass through—mainly because the area is largely inaccessible. The altitude is significantly higher than sea level, which makes breathing difficult due to the low atmospheric pressure. Trekking through such regions strains not just the legs but also the lungs.
Despite the difficulty, our determination and long-standing habit of exploring these heights have helped us acclimatise to the harsh conditions. My friends and I have visited the area several times, and during our last trip—when I also took some photographs—I became occupied with my professional life. Since then, I’ve had very little time for such treks and adventures.
Even so, the memories of those moments remain vivid in my mind. I cherish and miss them deeply, especially now that I’m in a phase of life where I’m overburdened with responsibilities and duties. At this point, I can only devote my time to fulfilling those obligations, leaving me with little room for such escapes into nature.
While I was out in these areas, I was thrilled to see the source of the drinking water that reaches our homes. Considering the purity of the water we receive, I saw it as an opportunity to thank the Almighty for blessing us with such invaluable resources. In that moment, I truly felt the need to preserve nature and contribute to its healing.
The majestic glaciers reflected a pristine beauty. There were no flowers in sight, yet everything felt perfect. I was so moved by the place’s natural charm that, on the way back, I couldn’t take my eyes off the breathtaking landscape. I kept turning my head again and again, hoping to imprint those scenes in my memory for a lifetime.
Here, I’ve come with some photographs to share with you, hoping to give you a glimpse of the beauty from this part of the world. As I’m new to this platform, I’m currently exploring and trying to find a good community where I can regularly post my content.
I’m very fond of photography and usually take pictures whenever I’m out, as I feel deeply connected to nature. I plan to post regular photo blogs here, which will give me the opportunity to share my work with you.
I’m truly thankful for your time, and I sincerely hope to receive your support and attention. Thank you.
