A Memorable Evening Visit to the Shrine of a famous Saint

I’ve been working in a government department, deputed at the main district headquarters, where I have been assigned the job of digitizing revenue records. For that reason, I need to be very punctual with my duties and be in the office well on time. I have to cut short my every activity, which otherwise used to be a little longer when I was posted in my home block. But now, as I am posted in a far-off place located at a distance of 40 km from my home, it is quite a challenge to manage things, though I do it as I already have good experience of doing such things in the past as well.

Today was quite a pleasant day for me. As I had already arrived at the office very early, I started my work early in the day and had finished it by the time I decided to leave. After taking consent from my immediate boss, I was allowed to leave. While returning home by a shortcut route, which has turned out to be quite useful for me, I realized that it not only saves travel time but also helps me save fuel.

Upon reaching my village, I was surprised to see my friends already waiting, not just for me but for other friends whom they had called. They were at one of my friend’s shops. Upon reaching there, I was greeted warmly by my friends, and then we decided to go out for dinner together. First, I headed back home to refresh myself and then joined them again a little later. Before leaving, I had a cup of tea to refresh myself, and after reaching my friend’s shop again, we decided to leave towards Srinagar.

While we were on our way, we decided instead to move towards our nearest town, which is famous for the shrine of Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani, and planned to offer our evening prayers there. We enjoyed our travel towards the place, as the road is quite hilly and it is an adventure to drive through it. Upon reaching the place, there was still some time left for the evening prayers, so we decided to have a cup of tea in the main market. Later, it was time to head back towards the shrine, and meanwhile the call for the evening prayer was given from the mosque. We quickly headed towards the mosque.

It was so peaceful and energizing to be there and offer the evening prayers. The place reflects a unique vibe that not only attracts everyone but also gives peace of mind and an opportunity to detox and connect with the Divine. It is a unique experience to be there, and for me personally, I am so attached to the place that I usually prefer to stay there for long without caring much about returning home.

Now it was time to leave. We went to the parking area and then left after buying some items from the town, as we consider these things holy since they are sold in the close vicinity of the shrine. Then we headed towards the town where we had planned to dine together. Upon reaching there, we decided to have some fish and quickly finished our meal once it was served. After that, we left for home, ending our trip with my friends and making it a memorable experience to cherish later in life.
