Moraine Lake Alberta

Moraine Lake is one of the tucked-away yet still fairly well-known spots in Alberta, usually overshadowed by Lake Louise. Great lake to be on for canoeing or just walking the hiking trail around it, which is pretty leisurely. I gave these photos a bit of a different finish using a bleach bypass filter in Lightroom. Somehow I also get that fantasy Lord of the Rings feel when I use this filter on mountain photography and it ends up being really eye-catching.

It is an amazing place, wish I never had to leave. I bet on a hot summer day the water is quite warm!
