Monomad: Winter Walk Along The Bow River

I grew up on the north side of the Bow River, which runs through Calgary sort of from west to east but sometimes winds from north to south. On the southern side is downtown, which I always found fascinating as a child. As I grew a bit older, I found the river pathways to be just as interesting. The river usually freezes over in the winter, so it's good to know where the pathways and riverbanks converge. I wouldn't recommend walking on the frozen river, although I see people do it. When I walk on the pathways and banks, I just enjoy the mix of nature around me, frozen covered in snow but ready for renewal when the time is right.

Amidst all that snow, a ray of sunshine must be sheer glory… I really like your photos.
