Monomad: Snow Covered Mountains Near Banff Alberta

I've said it before: mountains look amazing covered in snow. Seeing them up close like this is well worth having to bear much colder temperatures then you'll find on a leisurely trip in the summer. Snow can be so tricky to expose; it's bright and can easily lose its detail. I like that I was able to get a bit of the texture as the snow slops down the mountain; sometimes even with the naked eye it can be hard to see the contours of the snow due to the brightness.
