Monomad: Ring-Tailed Lemur

Ring-Tailed Lemurs are some of the funnest animals to watch at the Calgary Zoo. They draw quite a crowd, and I think people enjoy seeing their playful behaviors with each other. On sunny days they will often sit with their bellies exposed to the sun, as it is their least fur-covered body part. Their tails always have exactly 13 alternating black and white rings on their tails. In the wild during the course of the day, they are known to travel up to six kilometers in search of food.
