Monomad: Macro Bee Collecting Pollen

We have all seen bees at work, and it is one of the most obvious signs of life participating and helping the ecosystem along. They collect pollen, which is held in little structures on their legs called pollen baskets. They do this both for food as well as for facilitating the fertilization of plants, leading to the reproduction of fruits and seeds. If you have ever seen them vibrate while clinging onto a flower, it is this action in which they vibrate their flight muscles at specific frequencies to help dislodge tightly packed pollen grains. When they are not collecting pollen, typically they are sleeping, taking short naps through the day. When things cool down, they will rest on flowers to help them conserve energy and recover from their foraging.
