Monomad: Humboldt penguins

This colony of Humboldt penguins resides at the Calgary Zoo. They are among a handful of species that live there. They are known for their athleticism, being very adept at swimming, diving, and climbing rocky cliffs. Sharp claws on their webbed feet help them with this climbing, and they make their nests among the rocks. You can see them gathered together like this or often going for a swim in the large aquatic area. These ones are outside enjoying the day, as the weather wasn't too hot, and they seemed pretty content just hanging out with each other.
