Monomad: Bank of Montreal Building. Stone Carved Ornate Building Decor

The Bank of Montreal building in Downtown Calgary, which ironically no longer is a bank, has some really neat architectural features. The stone pillars remind me of ancient Rome or Greece. The top of the building has an impressive design feature with a pair of First Nations people on each side of a crest with what appears to be a beaver at the top. I find it to be quite striking, and the appeal to me is how local this feels, as Calgary has some deep ties to First Nations people, with many roads named for them as well as many of their current lands surrounding the city.
