Game Con Canada held its very first event this weekend in Calgary, Alberta. It brought together all the different worlds of gaming, from video games to board games to RPGs and everything in between. Indie video game developers had a chance to show off what they are working on, and eSports was featured with a large stage and competition set up. Board games, and tabletop miniature games such as Warhammer 40k and Conquest had plenty of vendors on hand, as well as areas set up with gaming tables for those who wanted to play their favorite games or try something new. VR booths were quite popular, with many types of VR displays and games to try out, from immersive escape rooms to full racing sim setups.
