Flock of Canada Geese Floating on the Bow River

This group of Canada geese seemed to like traveling as a unit; I followed them down the river, all staying together as they floated along. The sun made for an interesting glow on the water as they neared the Peace Bridge, and they swam from one bank to the other. I wonder if the water was warmer and they were drawn to that side more. I also wondered what you can call a group of geese and found there are several terms for it. A gaggle is appropriate whether they are on land or water. A skein could be used if they were in a tight formation. Wedge or Chevron when they are flying in a V-formation. "Flock" would be a general term for them in any setting, and "plump" is how you would refer to them swimming together in water.
