Fireworks and their graphical appearance

Fireworks always have a very graphical look to them once you've captured them on camera as a still image. This random burst of streaks, lights, and colors has some kind of visual appeal in its randomness. They almost look magical, and I think that is part of what captivates people as they watch something that really only has a purpose to be artistic, to look neat, and to simply entertain onlookers. We can create graphics and images on a computer, but being able to do them in the sky with an explosion of different effects is quite the feat that still leaves me with a sense of wonderment.
