Ferris Wheel Twist Zoom Long Exposure

Sometimes it's fun to break the rules and try something different. In photography terms, that means playing around with techniques and effects that aren't your typical shots. If you do a long exposure with a zoom lens and you zoom in and out, you will get some interesting camera blur. Now doing this at night at a fair or exhibition with all the different lights from various rides can create some fun, chaotic images. The Ferris wheel had just started to light up when I thought I would give it a try. The spinning wheel made the effect even more pronounced as multicolored lights became more distorted and twisted.
