Female Mallard Duck at the Glenmore Reservoir

These female mallards seemed to have all the time and space in the world. The Glenmore reservoir is Calgary's largest body of water, and wildlife has more space here, and it all seems more peaceful. When I'm by the river in the city, I see numerous numbers of ducks all competing for space and food, kind of like us humans doing the same thing. I often wonder if the pace of life for these ducks, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, is more peaceful.
