Colorful Skies

Capturing colorful skies is a combination of timing, patience, and exposure. If you combine these elements, there is a pretty wide range of colors you can witness in the sky and capture. Having clouds to help showcase these colors as the light shifts can be quite helpful too. I always expose for the brightest. colors as darkness begins to creep into the frame. Having more light to work with when you edit or touch up is pretty important, as the information that is being captured gives you greater latitude to make adjustments later. Also I like to catch as much as I can from when the colors just start to shift to when its almost dark and the sun is fully below the horizon. Its jus nice to have a good amount of material to work with
