Canada Goose and Feathers
I remember when I was a kid; I would pick up feathers, and for some reason they felt a bit fake, like a man-made object. Now I know better, of course, but it is interesting looking at them still and seeing their design, so perfectly suited to the birds they come from. Designed by nature to protect the bird, in this case a Canada goose. There were actually quite a few feathers on the ground in the snow, probably stuck there due to so much bird activity.

A bird’s feather upclose is unreal. The way the patterns are arranged looks very intentional and whenever I come across a fallen feather, I feel like the bird just wanted me to have it.
