Calgary Comic Expo Parade of Wonders 2024

The greatest cosplay parade that I have been fortunate enough to capture photography of for 10 years now. On Friday, this parade marked the "official" opening of the Calgary Expo, Thursday, there was a sneak preview of the event, which runs for 4 days. There was a slight chill in the air, but not enough to deter the cosplayers march though the streets of downtown. Legendary Comic Book creator and artist Todd McFarlane was the parade marshal, which was very fitting as he is originally from the city of Calgary.

From Edward Scissor hands to a Rebel Trooper on a Speederbike to Forest Gump and the Joker, there is a really interesting variety of characters that took place in the parade. There is so much to capture, so I will let part of the parade pass me by before running up the street a block or two to catch it again. Its well worth the effort as I can capture many costumes I didn't see the first time around as people tend to shuffle to different spots as they walk. I am satisfied with the result, with so many more photos to edit. This is but a small taste of what I saw, and I hope everyone enjoys this batch of photos!
